BEHIND THE PAGES
Christa
The life behind the memoir.
Page Things grew from the moments that stayed with me. The memories I kept returning to, the people who left their mark, and the experiences that became clearer only with time.
What I share here is personal, honest, and entirely my own.

The Person & Writer

I wrote Page Things to invite you into a life from the inside, not simply to tell you what happened and what I think about it;
but to let you be there as it unfolds.
You'll meet the people, places, choices, memories, and ordinary moments that became part of my story. You may understand something immediately. Something else may not make sense until pages, or even years, later. Maybe never.
That's how real life is.
The story begins in a small Ohio town and eventually stretches from the Arizona desert to the Pacific Northwest and plenty of places in between. Along the way there are cemeteries and cornfields, desert mountains and city streets, family kitchens, hospital rooms, dive bars, beaches, road trips, bad decisions, great loves, strange experiences, and more than a few moments I still can't entirely explain.
Nothing needs to be understood before you arrive.
Just come along and let the story reveal itself.
A Letter from Christa
Stay with me beyond the pages.
Every now and then, I'll share a note about writing, memory, the stories we carry, and whatever I'm thinking about on the day.
No constant emails. No noise. Just an occasional note from me to you.

The
Photographs
We Keep
Before they became pages, they were moments.
A photograph, a familiar face, a place once called home.
Together, these fragments become part of the world behind the memoir—and invite you to look a little closer.
